Deaconess Tasha Owens

Tasha Owens is a servant leader whose desire is to fulfill her God given purpose in every role that she has been stewarded. She is the wife of 27 years to Chris Owens; mother of 1 son, Dante; as well as 3 daughters, Chante, Tanasha, and April.
Tasha is a native of Jacksonville NC and has resided in the Raleigh-Durham NC area since attending the North Carolina Central University, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She has worked at Duke Clinical Research Institute for 22 years and is a Senior Research Administrator, overseeing a team of 6 Research Administrators in managing federally sponsored research projects.
Tasha has been a member of Nehemiah Christian Center for 26 years and has served in various ministry capacities: including choir, usher, outreach, intercessor, women’s committee, and armor bearer. She is also a Deaconess, Trustee, Director of Assimilation, and Sunday School Teacher. NCC has taught her to discover and expand her gifts and talents for use beyond the church and home into the marketplace.
Tasha has assisted in nonprofit development, formerly as the Finance Director of Zero to Eighteen Education Concepts Academy and currently as the Finance Officer for Aunties Against Abuse. She is looking to extend her knowledge and start her own business training and helping others.
Tasha values spending time with her husband, children, parents, family, and friends. She is adjusting to being an empty nester and preparing for retirement. She enjoys taking beach trips to experience the calming sunrise during ocean shore walks and the peaceful sunset from balcony views.
