Melanie McIntyre, M.S., LCMHC
Melanie McIntyre is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Melanie earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She obtained her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Melanie loves the work she does in psychotherapy, psychological testing, and psychoeducation. Her primary interest is studying the lasting impacts of childhood trauma on one’s mental health and building resilience in youth. Melanie has worked with youth since high school and has maintained a passion for making a difference in the life of young people. Melanie has initiated youth programs for girls at Carver High School in Winston-Salem, NC, and at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Walkertown, NC. Her desire is to change the narrative pre-written for youth of color. She hopes to make a lasting impact on her community, one adolescent at a time.
