Ms. Pamela Barker
Greetings! My name is Pamela Barker. I am presently a 9th and 10th grade School Counselor at J. F. Webb School, Oxford, NC. I am a proud Warrior, having been educated in Granville County Public Schools and a 1990 graduate of J. F. Webb High School. I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from UNC Greensboro and my Masters of Education Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.
As I enjoy my 30th year in education, I have served in many capacities. For the first 14½ years, my assignments included teaching 4th grade, 7th grade math and science, high school math, and community college math. I also was an Academically Gifted Specialist in Onslow County and a Transition Coordinator in Granville County Public Schools. In my latter years from 2009 - 2020, I was the only School Counselor for J. F. Webb High School of Health and Life Sciences. In this role, I served students in grades 9-12.
I am a member of Belton Creek Baptist Church serving as a Trustee, Assistant Chair of the Finance Ministry, Chair of the Young Adult MInistry, and an Usher. Additionally, I have been a proud member of the Oxford-Henderson Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since February 1997.
I truly believe that education is my calling and my ministry. Therefore, I enjoy opportunities to empower others and look forward to presenting at Auntie's Day of Wellness.
Peace & Kindness!
